The Short Version
I built Daytona Beach’s top-ranked handyman website from scratch. The phone rings. The leads come in. The Google rankings are locked in. I’m not doing the physical work anymore — and I’m looking for someone who wants to step in and run operations while I handle the marketing.
This isn’t a startup. This is a running business with real leads, real rankings, and real infrastructure. You don’t need to spend two years building a reputation. It’s already built.
What You’re Walking Into
A website that dominates local search. DaytonaHandy.com ranks on page one of Google for “handyman Daytona Beach” and dozens of related keywords. That took years to build. It generates over 100 clicks per month from organic search alone — and that’s before any paid advertising.
An AI-powered phone system. The business phone number is active with an AI agent that answers calls 24/7, captures lead information, and routes it through an automated pipeline. Leads hit a database and trigger instant notifications. No missed calls. No voicemails that sit for three days.
A complete lead-to-job pipeline. Every inquiry that comes through the website or phone gets logged, tracked, and alerted in real time. The backend runs on professional automation tools — not sticky notes and memory.
A van, tools, and equipment. Full-size work van with approximately $25,000 remaining on the note. Compressor, nail gun, framing gun, drills, saws, bits, and a full set of handyman tools. Everything you need to roll up to a job site and get to work on day one.
An established brand with insurance history. Daytona Handy has been operating in Volusia County with commercial general liability insurance ($1M/$2M coverage). The brand has directory listings, backlinks from high-authority sites, and a track record.
The Opportunity
A motivated handyman working this territory — even solo — can realistically gross $10,000 or more per month at standard Volusia County rates. Add a helper and you’re looking at $15,000–20,000+. The work is there. The leads are there. The hard part — getting found on Google — is already done.
And the growth potential hasn’t been touched. Google Local Service Ads, Google Business Profile optimization, a review generation system, targeted content for high-value services — I know exactly how to push this further because that’s what I do. Marketing is my business.
What I’m Looking For
Someone who’s reliable, shows up on time, does quality work, and treats customers right. That’s it. The skills can range from basic handyman tasks to more advanced carpentry and finishing work — what matters is character.
You might be:
- A maintenance tech or facilities worker ready to go out on your own
- A handyman doing side jobs who wants to go full time but doesn’t know how to get customers
- Someone with trade skills who’s tired of working for someone else
- A small contractor looking to add a handyman division with instant market presence
How This Can Work
I’m flexible on structure. Every situation is different, and I’d rather find the right person and build a deal that works for both of us than force a one-size-fits-all arrangement.
Path 1 — Partnership. You run operations. I run marketing as CMO. We form a clean LLC together with a proper operating agreement that defines roles, revenue split, and liability separation. I keep pushing the SEO, managing the lead pipeline, running ads, and building the review engine. You close jobs and do great work. We both grow.
Path 2 — License and Equipment Package. You operate under the Daytona Handy brand. You pay a monthly fee that covers use of the website, leads, phone number, van, and brand. You bring your own LLC and insurance. If you want to eventually buy the whole thing outright, we can build that path into the agreement.
Path 3 — Lead Generation Only. You already have your own truck, your own tools, your own business name. You just need customers. I sell you the leads. Flat monthly fee or per-lead pricing. Simplest arrangement, lowest commitment.
Path 4 — Custom Build. Maybe you’re a contractor who wants a dominant web presence in a specific niche — kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, painting, whatever. I can build you your own website from scratch using the same SEO methodology that put DaytonaHandy on page one. This is what my company, Bowman Web Services, does.
What You Need to Bring
No matter which path we take, you’ll need:
- Your own LLC or business entity (or willingness to form one)
- Your own commercial general liability insurance (minimum $1M)
- Workers compensation exemption or coverage (sole proprietor exemption is fine if it’s just you)
- A clean driving record (if the van is part of the deal)
- Knowledge of Florida handyman scope-of-work rules — Volusia County is specific about what handymen can and can’t do, and I take that seriously
About Me
I’m Tom Bowman Jr., owner of Bowman Web Services LLC. I built DaytonaHandy.com from nothing to page-one Google rankings. I’ve spent years learning search engine optimization, content strategy, and marketing automation. I’m not a handyman anymore — I’m a marketing guy who happened to start in the trades.
My goal is to partner with the right person, keep this asset producing, and prove a model that I can replicate across other service businesses. If you’re serious, let’s talk.
